Canoe Hire
Canoe hire is simple. We have Canadian canoes and 1 and 2 person kayaks.
From our picturesque. private launch on the River Wye, from where you can paddle down the river to Hay-on-Wye, Whitney -on-Wye or even further if your feeling adventurous !.
Hire includes life jackets, a safety talk and collection of vehicle drivers when you're ready.
Prices:
For 3 miles to Hay on Wye £20 per canoe for 2 people. + £10 for an extra adult or £5 for extra children.
For 8 mile to Whitney on Wye - £30 + £10 for an extra adult or £5 for extra children.
For longer distance 80 pence per mile extra to cover travel costs.
During the colder months we are advising everyone to wear wetsuits, if you have your own, bring it along or we can hire you one for £5.00

Launch time is at 10.00 am in the morning for Hay on Wye and beyond and between 12,00 pm and 2.00 pm for Hay on Wye only in the afternoon this ensures we can retrieve the canoes in time to fulfil our commitments to other guests
Barrels are hired out at £2.50 extra subject to availability
PLEASE NOTE: If the river conditions are such that it is considered unsafe for canoes we can offer you an alternative on the Brecon to Monmouth canal. We do not want anyone to miss out on the canoe experience but this option does incur an additional charge. We calculate this at 0.80p a mile ~ the £24.00 round trip charge will be divided amongst the number of people canoeing that day. Our time we give freely as we want everyone to enjoy themselves.
